ROTTEN BODY RESURRECTION

Rotten Body Resurrection is a mix media performance that works on the theme of putrefaction and how the fungus symbolizes a portal between life and death. In this version we bury a dancer in the garden of a house in the city of Valdivia as part of the Valdivia Film Festival. Between her body there was plastic, making allegory to the elements that currently make up the earth as we know it. Thanks to her gesture of rot and fungus, the dancer mutates her own body and is resurrected at the end of the performance.
